I’ve had the privilege to work with some wonderful animals over the years, and many have become very close friends. As close as any two humans could be. And I wouldn’t trade these friendships for anything in the world because most of these animals have led me to places I didn’t know existed. When I was told “yes, you are making connections with animals and they understand you too.” I was over-the-moon excited. At the time I had no idea of the journey it would send me on. One thing always leads to another if we keep an open mind. And I’m so grateful I have because it’s so much more than talking with animals. It’s talking with spirit. And communication with all of life, not just animals.
There was the sad Christmas tree who told me its story. The last time I picked up a live tree which had been designated for our “enjoyment” that season, was anything but. The tree showed me in pictures the happy life it had been living high atop one the sloping hills that gate our coastal area from the mountains. I saw clearly what that tree saw: other trees, lots of wildlife (especially birds) and the way they all beamed in the setting sun at the end of another day. It was peaceful, beautiful. The tree showed me all that, and then ended with “and then the big noise came“. The tree was upset as it was lying down in my car, it was confused about where it was going, and most of all, it missed the simple life it had just been living. I announced upon bringing it in that night that this would be the last of the live Christmas trees. It was all too sad for me. And now my husband says about the one that lives in a box and looks like a tree “yeah, we can’t have live ones anymore, they talk to Lisa.” Twenty years ago my husband wouldn’t have made this comment, because then all his friends would think his wife was nuts.
The other day a friend was trying to convey to me a story. I wasn’t really understanding the problem. I kept circling back to the original comment and asking why did she do this? Or why didn’t she do that? The point was – she left out a very important piece of the story. One that
was rather essential to understanding the story in the first place. Had she simply added a few more details in setting up the story, I don’t think we would have gone around in circles for about 30 minutes, with me peppering her with questions about the original incident. Lost? You should be, because I am and I was there. And the Christmas tree. Did you know your live tree that’s now dead and sitting out back had a life before you had it into your home?
I came back to this blog with a lot of enthusiasm for change and to incorporate my website with my blog. I have outdated info on my website with the same old tired stories. So I started to build, add new categories, and new sections, without truly explaining what I’m attempting to do here. And there is a very large missing piece that I’ve yet to outline, unless you picked up on in my story about Justin. My ability to talk with animals and help them through their issues has taken me into a whole new place. I’m now working with humans who have walked through the veil, and helping their loved ones to heal. It’s very different than working with animals, even animals in spirit. But I’m taking the next step in this journey and hope to help many to heal. It seems that this is my path, and that this is the missing piece of the story that I’ve started outlining with all these new tabs and titles.
But stay tuned. I’ve decided to stop with the workings of this blog and simply write for awhile. The other pages will fill in soon. But for now, I think I need to keep writing and sharing the stories of how all this has come about.
There. That’s the piece of the story I left out way back in the beginning of January. Now that I’ve started in the “middle”, we’ll see where it goes from here.
Love and Light
I live in a small town and when we hear sirens, we pray we don’t know where these first responders are going. But in a town this size, we’ve had some tragedies that involved one of our own. This incident took place several years ago and was one of the first time I experienced a human in spirit.
It was in the late summer when a small plane crashed into a house taking five souls. The fog that morning was as thick as pea soup, but the pilot, Justin, had experience in this. He knew how to fly using instruments. But that morning the plane malfunctioned and with no where else to go, Justin ended up in a house where there were children who would cross to the other side with Justin and his passenger. But during their walk towards a familiar light, Justin turned back. He had unfinished business here.
I never met Justin but knew his wife Kylee well. She and I used to work out together and although she was split from Justin, they were still very involved in each others lives raising their three children. She was understandably devastated as things were on and off again with Justin and they were in their late thirties. She never dreamed that this would be a possibility, that Justin would walk through the veil as a result of doing something he was so good at.
The morning following the accident, I was in my kitchen pouring my first cup of coffee. I was very aware of someone behind me jumping around, in a panicked state saying “You have to go to her! You have to go to her now!” repeatedly to the point where I finally turned around and said out loud “I can’t!” I surprised myself in that moment because I realized I was speaking with a human on the other side. I’ve had years of practice talking with animals in spirit, but this was the first human I could almost touch. I felt his presence, I could tell how tall he was, and there was a faint scent of someone else in the room with me. This spirit although invisible to the eye was very real. And his message was very real too. I had the sense that he had tried this with other people as well, but I was the one who answered him back. I was the one who heard him.
He wasn’t sure of where he was or what to do next, he was “in between” worlds and needed to be heard, and once he found out I could hear him? He wouldn’t leave me alone for over two weeks.
I knew this was Justin. In this type of work there are three ways spirit will communicate. They use “pictures”, “words”, and/or “knowing” all at once. Somehow he chose me to deliver his final message to his family. But this was all very new to me. I was used to animals answering questions for their humans, not humans hanging out with me (somewhat constantly) in order to be heard. He wasn’t sure where he was although he knew he was out of his body and he knew more people were with him. He hadn’t crossed over yet so he didn’t know the beauty of heaven, he was in between worlds. At any moment he could walk through the light, but this was all so sudden and unexpected he had to tell his family good-bye.
I sat with this for quite some time. This was all new to me. Finally I confided in a good friend and told her I could hear Justin and he was panicked about getting Kylee his farewell speech. The message was full of love, regret, and forgiveness. And as he continued to stay with me, I knew I had to deliver it or he’d be here, frustrated that few could hear him, when he should have concentrated on crossing over.
It was interesting to me that part of his message contained a glimpse of heaven. He told me to tell Kylee that it “isn’t at all what we thought it is” and he really wanted her to know that. It also indicated to me that he was having some experience with his guides possibly, who were letting him stick around to say his good-byes. He had some personal messages as well for his children.
He told me many things, most of which I have forgotten. It works that way. If I hang on to all the spirits I work with, I’ll be dragging myself into a world of sadness and bereavement. It’s info in, speak it, and info out. Now when doing readings I write it all down for the client. That’s why I’m glad I told my one friend. She remembers it all.
I was in my car one morning when Justin popped in and told me to call Kylee right then and there. He said “you don’t believe it’s really me do you? You think you’re making this up.” And I had to agree with that. He assured me that the moment he had chosen, Kylee would be alone and answer a question about her nickname. Justin said “I called her “Ky. She’ll confirm that and then maybe then you’ll believe me.” So I called. Kylee answered saying “you picked the perfect time to call. No one is here, the kids will be home shortly.” I told her I had an odd question, and proceeded to ask her what Justin had nicknamed her. She responded “He had many names for me.” I said “did he call you Ky?” And she said “Yes! That was his main nickname for me. Why do you ask?” I had that little “zing” of adrenaline as Kylee validated what Justin had told me. It was not unlike learning to talk to animals. It came so easily, I suppose working with animals in spirit was setting me up for this work. But when learning this work and then being validated – is an amazing moment. I still feel the “zing” as my confidence is strengthening.
I didn’t feel that this was the time to tell Kylee what I had been experiencing. She was in deep mourning and I was bouncing around like a puppy with a new ball. I had information that would help her to heal, I just had to pick my time. It’s one thing to ask a medium to contact a loved one, and quite another when the one in spirit has contacted you. I decided to wait until things had settled a bit because I wasn’t sure how she would receive the information.
It’s one thing to ask a medium to contact a loved one, and quite another when the one in spirit has contacted you.
So she had confirmed what Justin had just told me. That he called her “Ky” – a name no one in our small town used for her. I was then convinced that this was happening to me. I was talking to Justin who remained in between worlds for a period of time, in order to deliver his message.
Justin stuck around through his memorial service. As I walked down the hill in the fading summer sun, a light breeze turned up. Justin said to me “I think I can go now. I know you’ll deliver my message of love and forgiveness”. And he was right. Several weeks after Justin left my friend and I sat down with Kylee and told her all the things that I had experienced with Justin after the accident. She was comforted. I was surprised. But it has led me down a new path, one that is exciting, and one that can comfort humans who are left behind.
Note: I do not divulge the personal messages that are given to me and passed on.
I’m not sure when this song from The Sound of Music became associated with Christmas, but apparently it has. So I thought I’d post some of my favorite things. And surprise! They all have to do with nature.
When I was growing up, my grandfather instilled in us a healthy respect for the ocean. But this has only made me love the winter storms more. I love being as close to the most powerful continual force on the planet, especially when she’s “wild”. I love the summer ocean, but nothing compares to our winter storms and having a front row seat. I have learned how to stay safe, thanks to my grandfather, when to run and how far. And it brings especially this time of year, a great opportunity for beach combing.
Agates! Over the past several years, I’ve learned the difference between a “rock” and an “agate”. There is some kind of deep-seeded thrill of finding agates. They are not plentiful. In fact the past two winters Mother Nature has chosen to push loads of sand over our hunting grounds.
This bowl of agates is a few years old, but I found them all in one outing. My jacket weighed about 15 pounds, and I briefly lost my dog. I was too busy looking for agates, so Zeke opted to take another walk on his own. I found him playing gleefully in the surf. But needless to say, once we were home, dry, and I had cleaned out my pockets, I was thrilled. They are elusive and when learning you bring home a lot of simple rocks, but once you’ve learned (and there is always more to learn) they can be a true delight that fills you with the love of nature.
The Elk! We have our own herd of elk here in our small community. They travel through town and we are lucky enough to have them come close to the house. Some mornings I come out for my coffee and find myself starring into the loving eyes of an elk.
They have a lovely hierarchy that we can watch from inside our home. There is the “bull” or “alpha” elk who steps to the head of the path. He looks around for any danger, and then one by one, the ladies and their offspring pass by him, single file, as they make their way to the beach. Even though it is out in the open, they feel secure and safe on the beach. They also enjoy grazing on the beach grass that grows wild between the top of the path to the beach, and the beach. So it’s not uncommon to see them grazing in the dunes. Then they return to the woods, the “alpha” once again bringing up the rear after checking for danger. If a car should come by, they race into the forest and this isn’t quiet by any stretch of the imagination. They are loud as they thunder their way back down the trail they travel. It’s frustrating that many of our neighbors have deemed the elk “pests” and do everything they can to chase them from their flower gardens. It seems they’ve forgotten: the elk were here first and we should respect them, rather than scare them. My husband and I openly welcome them (much to the frustration of our neighbors) and one morning we heard the sounds of breathing and munching through our bedroom window. We didn’t pull back the blind so as not to frighten her, but felt honored to hear an elk so close to our bed. Nature is amazing if we simply allow it to be.
Swimming with Wild Dolphins! I have been truly blessed in that I have twice been to the Bahamas to swim with wild dolphins. I have gone on the adventure both times with Dolphin Expeditions, and it has literally changed my life. The dolphins have a way of implanting love into your heart space that I struggle to put into words. And I’m not exaggerating here.
I have watched the saddest souls come alive with glee after an encounter with these amazing beings. I have felt their love myself long after I’ve returned home. In fact, when I need them, I simply close my eyes and they are here with me, tenderly loving me back to where I need to be. The dolphins simply put:are not of this world. It’s possible to view them at Seaworld or other places of entrapment designed for us to “learn” about wildlife. But the truth is, you simply can’t appreciate these souls until you swim free in the water with them. They love to play, they love to explore you, and when surrounded by many of them, its a feeling I’ve never experienced before. I will return one day, but that day is a long time from today. It doesn’t matter though because I know that they are here with me, in spirit, and all I have to do is quiet my mind and call them to me.
My Husband isn’t well. He has cancer and has been handed an expiration date. I think he’ll pass that day, but he isn’t physically the man I married. He frequently has little energy which frustrates him because he can’t do all the things he wants to do. But he tries. I’ve never known a human with so many limitations that works as hard as he does to overcome them. I have never met anyone who is as giving and loving as he is. And I’m truly grateful he’s in my life. My “job” during this final stage of his life is to try and make things as comfortable as I can for him. I can’t change what is, but I can choose an attitude towards the disease and his daily life. And I’ve chosen to help him along, help with the little things that have become big things, and love him each day. We have always loved Christmas. We have always acted like two little kids on Christmas morning and this year will be no different. But I have learned a great lesson through our journey. And that is when life becomes bigger than we can handle, we must reach out to those who can help. His medication is ridiculously expensive and there is no way we could afford it alone. So, after a lot of thought, I agreed to let the community help. And boy did they help! A fund was set up in his name and the donations poured in. I no longer have the stress and worry over paying this insane price for a life saving medication each month. I’m humbled by the offerings, I’m so very grateful for the little things, and I know that this part of the hardest thing either one of us has ever done – has been relieved by our community. A huge thank you once again to all who have stepped forward to help.
It is the end of 2013. I live in a beautiful area where nature and animals are bountiful. I have a gift that helps others in a way that few can. I have a loving family, a loving husband, and a small group of very close friends. I also have many many animals who help me to find joy in everyday. I hope for all who read this that you too, can find gratitude and joy. For even in the darkest of nights, there are many bright stars that shine in the sky. It may be hard to see them if there are clouds or fog, but knowing that these stars are there, that the animals are there, well, these are absolutely my favorite things.
Love and Light!
A few months ago it became evident that I needed a break. I was being pushed and pulled in many directions. So I gave up the one thing that I most love – my animal communication. Although I thought it was a permanent change, I had no idea how much I would miss my animal and human clients. However, Spirit has a way of not letting us fully “detach” from our path. And make no mistake, this IS my path.
Even though I was not taking jobs professionally, Spirit showed me a few things about wildlife I never knew.
Two owls have built a nest near our home and at night I could clearly hear them calling to each other. At first, I listened with delight as I’ve never heard them before. Soon I found myself eavesdropping on their conversation. One owl would stay in a tree and be the “listener”(Owl Number One) while the other would call out as to whether or not he had found food, or the “Caller” (Owl Number Two). Owl Number Two was always calling from a different location and it confused even me, let alone the prey. Each time he called out, Owl Number One would respond. Soon the calls would come closer together, and then they’d call out simultaneously. Then the woods became still again. I realized this is how they hunt, and once prey has been located, the agreement has been reached with the prey, the Owls feast. Really interesting (and really a good idea to keep your small animals indoors at night).
I had no idea that giving up what I love most – helping humans to understand their animals – was the wrong choice to make.
The animals are such pure hearts and souls they will always be on my List of Offerings, but after the first of the year, I will have a big announcement. I’m waiting until I can bring my website into this blog, I want to write a little more, and then I will be ready.
New to my Business: I am now taking credit cards through my own processor. My fee for working with your animal (here or in spirit) is $75 which includes a follow up if you would like one. For more information, please visit my website here. I’m doing readings a little differently now too. Instead of writing emails with the answers to your questions, I’m calling clients back with the information I receive. This has proven most beneficial to the client. So write me via the form on my site, leave a comment here, even if you have questions on how this works. I look forward to hearing from you!
Oh – and why beach photos instead of Owl photos? Because it has been stunning here and I thought I’d share them with you. It may be really cold, but wow, nothing like the winter sun on the ocean!
Love and Light
Recently I was asked about what will happen with animals, domesticated and wild as the planetary shift is completing. It’s a great question. The planetary shift is also known as the “End of the Mayan Calendar”, “The Ascension”, and “Moving into the 5D”. If this is unfamiliar, you can read about it on Spirit Library, or visit two of my favorite lightworkers who have been keeping us updated regularly. They are Lauren Gorgo and Aluna Joy.
This kitty is my friend “T” who has been in spirit for a long time. He is a very wise soul. His human recently asked what would happen to the animals during this new time on the earth. T had an interesting answer which I am editing only for clarity. But I wanted to share it since I found it very interesting. So here is T’s answer:
“What has been happening is we are sending animals (domesticated) in with the new energies. These animals will continue to teach humans. Animals born within the past two years are very different. They can handle this new energy which is changing all the time. The animals who have left suddenly for spirit could not, or it was not their agreement when they came to the earth. Many animals have been called home to help humans on the earth who are trying so hard to make this planet a better place for humans, animals, and all who live in nature. And by nature, I mean the trees, the rivers, the rocks, and of course the animals.
Wild animals are “there” already. They live in the new world of love and happiness. They already have joy in their hearts and souls. They have lived in this place a long time. They know that the planet is shrinking for them – but they continue to try and work with humans so there is more space for them to live freely. Nature is so important. And the wild animals are helping. The whales talk to many humans about the sea: they are teachers. They are the memory keepers. They are trying to get the attention of ALL humans on how they must change, yet the whales and dolphins live in joy and peace when in their pods deep below the sea. The big animals (elephants) who walk the planet also talk to humans. Many more wild animals are trying to talk with humans about the earth. Animals and humans together are rebuilding the way humans think about nature. Wild animals need their place. It’s not perfect (yet) but more and more humans are realizing we must continue to leave a place for the animals.
New domesticated animals and older strong domesticated animals are helping with awareness too. Some domesticated animals are leading the way while others are helping their humans to change their ways of thinking about nature – simply by being around their humans and helping them to understand how we can all live in a harmonious world. (Did you know your new kitten or puppy was altering your thinking? Well, they are!)
The ascension means: love, joy, living in peace all the time, not just part of the time. It is an amazing time for animals. And an amazing time for humans.”
Perhaps you aren’t aware of these changing times. It literally means shedding old ways of thinking of our lives and living in a more harmonious way within ourselves. Much easier said than done. But if you read about the journeys of millions of others who have been very busy keeping us informed, and working themselves to prepare for a new world, perhaps you’ll find that you too have been working on moving into the “5D”. Whether you know it or not.
This morning I awoke early. It was still dark as I went out into the cold. I felt the magic of the waning full moon bathing my world in white light. But so early? It was the whales. They wanted me to feel the moment and hear their message.
For many mornings now, I’ve been meditating. But as soon as I start, I begin to hear the whales as they pass by my home. I’ve been on dolphin journeys, I’ve listened and taken in their love as I swam side by side with them. But even though I live several hundred yards from the ocean, I’ve never, until now heard the whales.
They had just journeyed through the debris that is headed our way from Japan. They were confused by it. They told me clearly “We must clean our Mother – she’s all we have.” I saw the debris as the whales tried to navigate their way through the muck. Lumber, cars, unidentifiable pieces of metal and wood. The debris moves as one piece of junk through our oceans and straight into the whales path. They continue on. “We hear the sounds, it’s deafening the sounds we hear near your home. We can lose each other as we try and listen for the voices of each other, even separated at times, but we move on towards our destination.” This I saw rather than heard.
Animal communication isn’t always in straight forward words. I see things. I feel them in my body, I hear words, but it’s watching and listening to the entire message.
The whales are talking with me most mornings as I sit outside. They are teaching me that they are the memory keepers of the planet. They are the ones who travel hundreds of miles each year – for hundreds of years – to reach their destinations. Each year the journey becomes more perilous. Each year they battle the sounds of more and more ships that travel the oceans and throw their communication with each other off. It’s like trying to talk with someone with the TV blasting. It’s loud and confusing. Yet, they seem to know where they are to meet up with their respective pods and move on.
This morning the message was for us. For humans. The ones who need to wake up. Their society long out-dates ours. “We teach our young the world of the whales, as you teach your young the message of being human. But you have lost your way. It’s not too late, you can each clear the Mother and make her whole again. Simply by feeling love in your heart space and passing it on.”
The other day I heard the beautiful laughter of a child swinging on a swing. The whales showed me that moment. “That little child filled her heart space with joy and laughter. The energy she sent out from that laughter reached your whole community. Perhaps beyond. The humans didn’t hear it, but they felt it.”
“This is what you as humans must do. Each day, you must fill your heart space with love and joy. This will branch out to others. They too will feel it. It is the way to heal our Mother. Joy.”
They showed me the trees in my yard. The power of the winds they endure. But the trees are dancing. They aren’t being harmed by nature, they love to dance in the winds and drink in the rains that fall to quench them. “You humans hide in your dwellings, worry about the power of the winds. The trees – they are not afraid. They live on.”
They showed me that when I am in nature, my heart space fills with joy. The love that my dog radiates through this heart, from simply being with me on the beach, is enough to heal a human who has forgotten. ” We, the whales have very large hearts that send love when we are in joy. We send it around the planet, yet the humans need to do their part too. Humans need to feel joy, not despair, and send it out. It radiates. It is a powerful tool.”
It’s so simple. All we need to do is feel love in our hearts and it will cure another of their pain whether they know it or not! This is how we – you – can change our planet. “Why do you think the message of ‘do what you love’ is so strong right now? It’s because when we do what we love, we send love. And in that very action, we are healing our Mother.”
The moon continued its path across the skies as I listened and glowed with it. I felt the love the whales were sending – and now I’m sending the message to you. Are you practicing joy? Are you finding time in your hectic day to smile? One smile can cure a village. It truly is this simple. Do what you love. Stay in your heart. And the whales will continue to send us their love. For this is the simple start to curing our Mother.
I met “the Kitty Angel” many years ago. Fascinated with her work, I offered to be a “side-kick” of sorts to learn more. I wanted to know what and how she does what she does so well. She knows more about cats, their habits, and their needs than anyone I’ve ever met.
The Kitty Angel is what I call an “Angel in Skin”. Angels in Skin are humans who work quietly on the planet in order to make life better for another, be it children, animals, or the thousands of homeless we never hear about. The Kitty Angel is an Angel in Skin. Without her, many kitties would be housed in shelters and eventually put down because there simply aren’t enough homes.
“The Kitty Angel is an Angel in Skin. Without her, many kitties would be housed in shelters and eventually put down because there simply aren’t enough homes.”
Angels in Skin can also appear to you disguised as a human, delivering a message you really need to hear, or they can be humans like the Kitty Angel, who are called by their guides to work on a specific project that keeps their heart space full.
Many times, she will have more cats in need of homes than places to house them. So she has set-up a place for a kitty to live – in her car. It’s a full kitty-condo, complete with toys, a litter box, and food.I have never smelled “cat” in her car. She parks out of the sun so that the kitty will be safe. This also accomplishes two things. 1) there is always a loving kitty in her traveling kennel on display, and 2) gives her more room for her homeless. She makes sure that even if she’s going to be parked in one place for a while, she visits the passenger often, giving them the love and attention required for a kitty waiting for their forever home. Her home can be filled with the homeless that she dotes on when she’s not out rescuing, visiting shelters, or doing a vet call. While the cats are with her, she learns their needs so it will be easier for her to place them.
Her husband has been more than patient over the years with her passion. He is to be honored as well.
Most of the cats have been abandoned in this economy. As an animal communicator, I frequently receive a text message from her with the following line: “Lost of Dumped?” I can quickly determine if the kitty in question has a home but can’t find it, or if the cat has been unceremoniously dumped. The places to dump kitties in our county are numerous. And some people simply don’t think twice about dumping their animals. They dump and run. No love lost there apparently. I believe these unthinking, unloving people who have the gall to dump a cat or dog – should simply be put out of OUR misery. After all, if they dump an animal, what else are they capable of?
Caring for these cats isn’t cheap. Each cat (depending on their needs) can cost hundreds of dollars for spaying, a flea infestation, and shots required in order for them to be ready to find a suitable home. And she has brought joy to countless families who are willing and able to love a kitty who needs them, as much as they need kitty. When a home is found, it’s a win-win for all. So for the ones she places (and again, there have been countless homes found) there is a whole new love filled journey for kitty and human. Adopting a kitty who is so in need of love, can be a great experience for you and your family. So her work DOES pay-off. It simply takes the right family at the right time.
Years before I met her, she attended school to acquire a job that would bring in more money for her mission. And most if not all of her paycheck goes towards the feeding and vet care of the cats. But it’s never enough, because there are always more cats in need. She’s had calls from British Columbia to San Diego from people who assume she’ll just swing by and take a cat off their hands.
This angel (I’m not using her name intentionally, because she can’t help everyone) is an amazing soul. She does all she can for whomever she can. I watch it break her heart to say “no” since she can’t help them all. I know how hard she tries – but there are simply too many kitties and not enough homes. And every minute she is not at her job, she is working for the cats. She puts thousands of miles on her car each year. Whether it’s to show a prospective new home a kitty, or helping a shut-in with their cat’s needs, to visiting shelters to take “tough cases” off their hands.
What can YOU do? Well obviously, make sure your cat is spayed or neutered. One female cat can produce over 50 kittens in their lifetime if they aren’t spayed. This math pulls into account the offspring and how many kitties they might have. It’s staggering how many people don’t alter their animals and then throw their arms up in the air when they have yet another litter. If your argument is you can’t afford it, there are many organizations who will help you with the cost. You can. You must. It’s called: the humane thing to do. A female kitty can have a litter of kittens when she is 6 months old.
This is how we found our new kitty. And there are no words to describe the joy he brings us. He’s a terror alright, but when I called the Kitty Angel with my special request, she knew exactly where to find him. She took me to the home, and while we were there, made arrangements to transport our kitten’s mom to the vet to be spayed. This was her third litter and the Kitty Angel was going to personally make sure there wasn’t a fourth. That’s what she does.
If you are interested in making a donation this Christmas, consider the Kitty Angel. She works hard each day to provide a better life for many kitties. And as you consider your donation, remember that on Christmas day, she’ll be working with a kitty, somewhere to find him/her a better life. Donations? Please use my contact page.
Let their be joy and happiness in this holiday season. Remember: There is joy in everyday, we simply need to recognize and be thankful for it.
This evening I saw the most beautiful sunset. Living on the coast, I see many stunners, but this was one for the memory banks. A bright deep-pink, red strip sat over the light blue ocean after the sun had gone down. It was one of those little things that I will remember and savor.
We are not unlike most Americans in that we’re struggling a bit to keep our financial heads above water. I can say this knowing we’re not alone. But if we work hard towards the goals that are fixed in our hearts, there are many little occurrences that remind us to be grateful for all we have. And I’m not talking about material things, I’m talking about things that make us smile for no reason. Simple things that happen everyday that bring us joy and make us laugh.
Meet Jack. If you’d told me that after Breeze had walked through the veil I was going to get a kitten? I would have shaken my head no. No way. Nothing could persuade me to bring a new kitten into our home. But that’s exactly what we did.
Soon after we Breeze left her body, I heard from her while swimming in the pool. I often get unsolicited messages when I’m swimming because it’s a good time to keep my thoughts still. Her message was short and clear. I needed to bring a new kitty home to cheer Eddy. While the first part of this has proven to be a great idea, the second part, has taken some time to adjust. After all, Eddy lived with her mama her entire life. But Jack is special. Very special. He’s smart, he’s precocious, he’s patient with Eddy, and he’s exactly what we need right now. Not only that, but he’s already shown he will be invaluable in my work.
Today I was working with a kitty who is in spirit. She belongs to a longtime client and there were many questions about her return. My client is anxious for her to come back to her again and also what to look for. This CAN be done. Our animals come back to us. And there was a part of me that hoped Jack would either be Bart or Breeze. But he’s not. He’s Jack. A totally new soul for me.
He’s a pretty busy boy. But he also harbors something special. Because as I talked with this kitty in spirit today, (one of three my client wanted me to talk with) Jack jumped into my lap and announced he KNEW this kitty. I was a little surprised as I’ve never met this client nor her kitties. And in his four months here in a body, I know he hasn’t either. I work with animals telepathically, so they can be anywhere doing anything when we chat. In a body roaming the planet, or in spirit. But Jack certainly knew her and would not leave my lap until I was done talking with her. At 4 months, he’s not learned the tools yet in which to help me with my readings in a constructive way. But he did know this kitty and was not afraid to say so. And the kitty acknowledged that she knew him too.
I’m grateful that he isn’t Breeze or Bart. As much as I anxiously await their return, I also realize that Jack is bringing a whole new level to my work. He’s going to add and teach both me and my clients. Just having him around everyday will bring a lot more knowledge into the work I do with animals.
I have many photos and stories about Jack that I’ll be sharing in the future. But tonight is about how we very often forget to thank the Universe (or whoever you thank) for very simple pleasures. How many things in your day do you take for granted that bring a smile? Do you remember to be grateful when your dog practically knocks you over because you have come home from work? Are you grateful for the sun that peaks or shines everyday during these short days? Are you grateful for the person who sleeps next to you at night and shares a laugh with you? Are you grateful for the pile of animals in your bed?
All these little things are here for the taking. They’re free and they’re wonderful. Because all we have is right now. Not what happened last week, not what tomorrow may bring, but right now. This moment. The glorious life you’ve created for yourself. If you aren’t practicing the Fine Art of Recognizing Joy on a daily basis? Then you’re living in your head and not in your heart.
This is what these new times are teaching us. We must learn to live from our hearts and forget all the things that make us nuts. Those things are created by us, in our heads and are easily forgotten with a little practice. Even during our hardest days, we can find and fill ourselves with love and gratitude.
In order to make a better world, we all must live in gratitude and joy daily. And it will take some practice since our lives have become so stressful and busy. But we need to return to a world where we live in our hearts. Try it. Master it. Pass it on.
So – kick your shoes off, enjoy a good book, meal, or a movie tonight – something that will make you smile. Or you can simply sit under the stars and be grateful you’re living in these times that have the potential of learning these lessons.
Me? I’m going to wake Jack who has slept on my lap this entire time – and find his mousie!
Don’t forget, I’m running a special for the month of December. Go to my website where you can find out how to get a hold or me! Thanks to all who have participated!
